Being Michael’s Daddy

Dad-type Training

January 10th, 2009

Today I’m going to point you all over to Discovering Dad to ponder a little screed I’d been mulling over for some time, concerning some training to pass on to my son: Knowing when the Job is Done.

Have a great weekend everyone!

screed: a: lengthy discourse b: an informal piece of writing (as a personal letter) c: a ranting piece of writing

lol not really, if there were smarter ppl around here i might try to use these words i’m learning but, they would all just be sayin, huh??

I was considering the words “pendact” and “excursus” but figured screed would do.

I’ve only just begun – there are a whole lotta words out there, and they’ve all got their own personalities.

Who’s Michael?

Michael is the surprise son of a second-time married couple who, having daughters from their respective previous marriages, believed they were through having kids. He's a red-headed ball of fire who hit the ground running and hasn't stopped to take a breath since. Every day he gives me new ways to learn patience, resourcefulness, firmness and love by providing intense training under live fire conditions.
