Today we bring you a blast from the past.
I recently got back some old home videos of my daughters from long ago, and I was hoping to find this clip.
This little gem was something I recorded in 1995. I was a new dad of one little girl, and I spent most of my time either playing with my daughter or getting video footage of her using this old VHS camcorder I bought in the mid-eighties. It was a behemoth, and by that point required a jury-rigged microphone. The very next year it died for good.
Anyway, this is only two minutes worth of the countless hours of video I have of her and her sister. They still think I spend more time filming Michael. Hah. Haven’t even come close yet.

They grow up so fast without trying to rush it. They always want to rush it anyway.
That was very sweet.

That is the cutest fake lettuce-eating little two-year-old I've ever seen.

That has got to put a lump in your throat. Really adorable. Does she still see Sammy on her birthday?

That was adorable. She was a very cute two. You'll have to show us more videos. Don't they grow up fast? Too fast?

@WeaselMomma — Glad you liked it. They do tend to rush their growing up, particularly after they hit the double digits.
@Melisa — Thanks. She's given up on fake lettuce. Not that she eats lettuce of any kind now these days.
@Chuck — It does indeed. Unfortunately Sammy lives in another state, and they haven't seen each other since we moved.
@Surprised — She was definitely a cute two-year-old. I'll have to see if I can find some other good clips from those days.

So cute!
We used to take so many videos of my daughter and we hardly have any of my son. Mostly because our video camera is 10 years old and is not considered ancient.

Aww! She makes 2 look so easy. You're lucky to have these films. (& it's proof that they were as filmed as Michael!)

@Momo — isn't that always the way it goes? Your first kid gets all the attention because he/she is new and fascinating. The later kids get less and less airtime as the novelty wears off.
@Seashore — I think she was easier for a lot of reasons. But then again, I was young and fresh then, and hadn't been worn down yet.
