This weekend we were finally able to make a purchase that we’ve been planning and saving for quite a while: a big screen television.
When we brought it home, the kids’ eyes lit up with delight. We unpacked it, set it up, and the kids began enjoying it right away.
Were they amazed by the clarity? The contrast, the color, the viewing angle?
No.
They found fun where any kid would.
Five or fifteen, they’re all kids. Who cares about the TV, let’s play with the box! Makes me proud.
Do you think that would work at staff meetings?
(MD) It would definitely work to make them more interesting.
That is awesome! Too bad the box was soooo expensive.
(MD) Yeah, it was pretty spendy. But if it keeps them contained, well, it’s worth the money.
I love it, and those kids, too!!!
(MD) They came up with the idea on their own; I just happened to have the camera close by.
Classic
(MD) Definitely; it’s going in our archives.
I wonder if the new dishwasher will have a box too? How much fun will that be??? I have fond memories of building things out of boxes. Remember when we moved in and how all the kids had the packing boxes out side and were goofing off with them?
(Hubby) Actually… I don’t remember that… sigh. But I remember your old phone number. And the lyrics to the Gilligan’s Island theme.
Since I am coming up there to “play” soon, will the new dishwasher be there to greet me?
Also will it be able to load and unload itself? These are the things that matter to me,simple person that I am.
Perhaps I can dance inside the box with my fancy cane…. We shall see, Love, Gramann
Congrats on the new TV and on having such fun kids.
I absolutely love this! And it made me smile because it is so true!
(MD) It’s so nice to know that they haven’t outgrown having fun.
The dishwasher has arrived and I had the delivery guys leave the box for the kids to play with!!!
(Hubby) Hurray! Another box! Hopefully they’ll leave it in relatively good shape; I need it as a prop in my next family movie.
